PVTC 2016, an outstanding international recognition with very high level experts and participants from all over the world!
“Thank you very much for your hospitality. I enjoyed the conference immensely, and learned many new things” - Professeur Eli YABLONOVITCH (Berkeley, USA)
The PhotoVoltaic Technical Conference 2016, PVTC, the 7th event of a series of international PV specialty conferences took place for the first time in Marseille (Southern France), from 9 to 11 May 2016 at the International Center of Villa Méditerranée.
This event brought together worldwide speakers and attendees, representing over 20 countries from all over the world (Algeria, Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, USA, Tunisia…) around the topic « From materials and advanced processes to innovative applications ». They presented their achievements in Photovoltaic (PV).
International experts, coming from industrial and academic worlds, have presented their latest research developments in solar cells and modules with an overview in their respective domain: Professor Eli YABLONOVITCH, Director of the NSF Center for Energy Efficient Electronics Science, Berkeley, California, (USA), recognized all over the world in the field of the Photovoltaic, Professor Henry SNAITH, University of Oxford, (U.K), one of the famous experts in perovskite solar cells, Professor David MITZI, Duke University, Durham, NC, (USA), Professor Christophe BALLIF, Director of photovoltaics laboratory at EPFL, Director of CSEM PV-center at CSEM, Neuchâtel, (Switzerland), Dr. Hiroki SUGIMOTO, Solar Frontier, (Japan), and Professor Stergios LOGOTHETIDIS, Dir. of the Lab. of "Thin Films-Nanobiomaterials-Nanosystems & Nanometrology (LTFN)" at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, (Greece).
The conference allowed to give a vision, at the world level, of the latest scientific and technical advances regarding new generations of solar cells. The presentations of very high level covered the various types of PV, in a homogeneous and effective way. The participants were very satisfied with this latest edition. This recognition at the international level is a real boost for the next edition in 2017.
“The program was thematically very well structured and the talks of the keynote speakers very interesting” – Katharina EYLERS (Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth, Germany)
