The sixth edition of the "PhotoVoltaic Technical Conference" dedicated this year to "Advanced materials and processes to innovative applications" will take place from 27 to 29 of May 2015 in the Aix-en-Provence Congress Center.

  • Professor Hiroshi SEGAWA, Head of the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology - The University of Tokyo, Japan - "Hybrid Solar Cells for Next Generation Photovoltaics"
  • Prof. Dr. Klaus LIPS, Head of the Energy Materials In-Situ Laboratory Berlin (EMIL) - Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie, Germany - "EMIL (Energy Materials In-Situ Laboratory Berlin) - a novel research platform for thin-film photovoltaics at the BESSY II synchrotron light source"
  • Dr. Edgardo SAUCEDO, Catalonia Institute for Energy Research, Spain - "The importance of interfaces modification for high efficiency kesterite based solar cells"

  • Dr. Pierre VERLINDEN, VP, Chief Scientist and State key Laboratory Vice-Chair at Trina Solar, China - "Mass volume manufacturing of high-efficiency silicon solar cells"

2 invited speakers have also confirmed their participation to the conference:

  • Dr. Friedrich SCHAAFFCEO, Silicon Products, Germany - "Key triggers in further development of silicon production"
  • Dr. Sebastian MEIER, Belectric OPV, Germany - "OPV from an Industrial Perspective"

• The PVTC Scientific Committee will select the best papers for a publication in one of these three journals:

                              - SOLMAT (Solar Energy Materials & Solar Cells)
                              - EPJ Photovoltaic

                              - JRSE (Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energies)

• The conference is organized by ARCSIS, a professionnal association in charge of promoting Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur microelectronics and photovoltaics actors.

The PVTC 2014 conference was a success with attendees from more than 20 countries: France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, Japan, Spain, USA, Tunisia, Republic of Korea, China, Australia, Switzerland, etc...

Comments from some of the PVTC 2014 attendees:

Teodor Todorov (IBM, USA) : “Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity to participate in the event that was an exquisite mix of science, lovely people and immersion in Provence”.

Thomas Kirchartz (ForschungZentrum Jülich, Allemagne) : “Thank you very much again for inviting me to come to Aix. I really enjoyed my days there”.

Guy Brammertz (IMEC, Belgique) : “Thanks again for having me there at the conference, it was a real pleasure to discuss with you and the other contributors”.
